Active Learning (Beta) known issues & limitations
This article applies to ScreenBeam 1100 Plus product.
1. Controller with more than 6 display thumbnails exceed the intended display range
Remedy: Connect less than 6 total displays.
2. Controller thumbnails flash for a few seconds upon connect and disconnect
Remedy: Allow a few seconds for stabilization.
3. Active Learning does not support “Single” or “Quick Switch” mode, but setting allows it without a warning
Remedy: Do not change the Display Mode to Single or Quick Switch.
4. Connect AirPlay source while there's existing screen sharing may produces a black screen
Remedy: Do not connect with another source. Only 1 device can connect at a time.
5. While in an Alert state, there's no error message on the controller when a sharing connection fails
Limitation: This is expected. Make sure to avoid using Alert for this version.
6. Controller thumbnails disappear after receivers received Alert message
Limitation: This is a bug. Make sure to avoid using Alert for this version.
7. Some controller thumbnails display a black screen or freeze after the network is lost
Limitation: This is a bug. Make sure the network connection is available.
8. AL Username allows 128 characters in CMS but only 16 in LMI
Limitation: This is a bug on CMS. Only 16 characters should be supported for the username.
9. Admin browser's header name is duplicated with Controller's header
Limitation: This is a bug. The Controller should be setup on a separate tablet or PC with touch screen.
10. Mirrored video volume cannot be adjusted for secondary displays
Limitation: This is is a bug. Adjust volume directly on the secondary displays.
11. Chromecast streaming quality is poor - blurry
Remedy: Avoid using Chromecast for mirroring.
12. Safari cannot access the control URL (https://192.168.xx.xx:5000/admin/)
Remedy: Use Chrome or Edge instead. Safari users may manually enable “Allow Insecure Connections” where permitted.
13. CMS allows empty AL Username and Password without error
Limitation: This is a bug.
14. Changing AL Room in CMS does not restart the receiver
Remedy: Manually restart the receiver to apply the new AL Room setting.
15. Enabling AL does not disable MultiBeam
Limitation: MultiBeam is not supported for Active Learning. Manually disable MultiBeam in receiver settings before enabling AL to avoid conflicts.
16. BrowserCast does not work in Active Learning mode
Limitation: This is a bug.
