How does ScreenBeam support screen mirroring for Android devices?

This article applies to ScreenBeam 1xxx-series, 960, and 750 models.

Android devices, depending on the manufacturer and Android OS flavor, can support wireless screen mirroring using either Wi-Fi Miracast or Google Cast. ScreenBeam 1xxx-series models are compatible with both Wi-Fi Miracast and Google Cast wireless display technologies, while ScreenBeam 960 and 750 models support Wi-Fi Miracast only.

Connection steps and Miracast feature names may vary depending on your Android device manufacturer and OS version. Please refer to the manufacturer's device manual for details.


How to connect for Android (Miracast) 

  • Ensure the device's Wi-Fi is on.
  • Go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Cast.
  • Tap the three-dot menu and check Enable wireless display.
  • Choose the ScreenBeam receiver name from the list matching the name on the display.
  • Enter the PIN shown on the display if prompted. 

How to connect for Android (Google Cast)

  • Ensure the device's Wi-Fi is on and connected to a Wi-Fi network reachable to ScreenBeam.
  • Swipe down to open Quick Settings.
  • Tap Cast or Screen Cast.
  • Choose the ScreenBeam receiver name from the list matching the name on the display.
  • Enter the PIN shown on the display if prompted.
