I can't hear any audio on TV after connecting to ScreenBeam

This article applies to ScreenBeam 1xxx-Series, 960 and 750 products.

When connecting your device to ScreenBeam and you're not able to hear sound on the TV speakers when playing video/sound, there could be a several factors.

For Windows devices:

  1. If you’re using Miracast on Windows and recently noticed this issue, it may be related to a known problem caused by the latest Windows update (KB5066835). Please see this article for details.
  2. Audio from Windows may not automatically switch to ScreenBeam.  Go to System > Sound > Volume mixer and select Output device to Digital Output (ScreenBeam receiver)
  3. Audio might be too low or muted in your video or audio player, or on your Windows laptop.

For MacBook devices:

  1. If MacOS audio doesn’t switch to ScreenBeam, go to System Preferences > Sound and ensure your ScreenBeam receiver is selected as the output device.
