I can't hear any audio on TV after connecting to ScreenBeam
This article applies to ScreenBeam 1xxx-Series, 960 and 750 products.
When connecting your device to ScreenBeam and you're not able to hear sound on the TV speakers when playing video/sound, there could be a several factors.
For Windows devices:
- If you’re using Miracast on Windows and recently noticed this issue, it may be related to a known problem caused by the latest Windows update (KB5066835). Please see this article for details.
- Audio from Windows may not automatically switch to ScreenBeam. Go to System > Sound > Volume mixer and select Output device to Digital Output (ScreenBeam receiver)
- Audio might be too low or muted in your video or audio player, or on your Windows laptop.
For MacBook devices:
- If MacOS audio doesn’t switch to ScreenBeam, go to System Preferences > Sound and ensure your ScreenBeam receiver is selected as the output device.
