Miracast over LAN poor video quality issue with MediaTek RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E Wireless NIC
This article is relevant for ScreenBeam 1xxx-Series and 960 products.
We have identified a specific video performance issue when connecting a Lenovo device equipped with the MediaTek RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E Wireless NIC to ScreenBeam receivers using the Miracast over LAN method. Affected models include, but may not be limited to, the L13 Yoga Gen 4 AMD-Based systems running driver version 25.40.2.581.
Users may experience significant image delay between their laptop and the ScreenBeam-connected display, audio that lags behind video, or noticeable juddering of video and audio during screen mirroring. Notably, this problem does not occur when connecting via Miracast Peer-to-Peer (P2P) mode.
A new driver version, 25.40.2.584, is now available from Lenovo and MediaTek to resolve this issue. To obtain the update, please contact your Lenovo representative for download and installation instructions.
