CMS Enterprise .Net 6.0 Asp.net core module not found

This article applies to the following products: CMS Enterprise

Affected Systems

Windows Server with .Net Core 6 installed of versions 6.0.11 or newer.

Description

CMS Enterprise 4.3.10.0 has been updated from .Net Core 3 to .Net Core 6, specifically 6.0.10. It has been found that some Windows servers, when brought up, have a later version pre-installed but have not installed IIS.  As a result, not all necessary .Net modules are installed.

The CMSE installer will display, Error: Asp.net core module not found, when this case is detected.

It is not necessary to reinstall CMS Enterprise, but the following fix must be applied.

Fix

  1. Download the Windows ASP.NET Core Runtime ? Hosting Bundle installation package.
  2. Run the installer. Click Repair
  3. Verify that the AspNetCoreModulev2 is installed under Internet Information Services (IIS)

The CMS Enterprise dashboard can now be accessed in your browser with the IP address/FQDN specified during the installation.https://<yourip or fqdn>:8888
