Windows 10 Freezes or Locks Up When I Try to Connect to ScreenBeam

 

This article applies to ScreenBeam 1xxx-Series, 960, and 750 products.

A known issue on Windows 10 may cause desktop components to freeze or become unresponsive when connecting to ScreenBeam. This often happens if a user attempts to reconnect to ScreenBeam—through the side or top overlay panels—immediately after a failed connection. As a result, the overlay panels may freeze on the display and key desktop elements, like the system tray, can stop responding. In most cases, restarting the PC is required to restore normal operation.
