ScreenBeam Orchestrate Extension and Google Chrome Manifest v3

Background 

Manifest v3 is the latest version of specifications for Chrome extensions which enhances security, privacy and performance.  In Aug 2025 Google is releasing Chrome version 139 which no longer has support for Manifest v2 extensions.   This also affects Chromium browsers like Microsoft Edge.  As a result, ScreenBeam Orchestrate v2 will not function on a device where Chrome or ChromeOS is updated to v139. 

ScreenBeam has redesigned the Orchestrate extension to support Manifest v3.  Refer to the Orchestrate downloads page.

What do I need to do? 

Update your devices to the qualifying versions of Chrome/ChromeOS.  Devices running Chrome/ChromeOS under v139 must have a minimum version as follows that support Manifest v3:  

  • Google Chrome/ChromeOS v116  
  • Microsoft Edge version v122  

Afterwards, install ScreenBeam Orchestrate v3 software to the devices.
