Why don't I see the ScreenBeam in the Connect menu on my Windows 11/10 device?

This article applies to the following ScreenBeam products: ScreenBeam 1xxx, 960 and 750

If you are able to open the Connect menu on your Windows devive by pressing the Windows Key + K and you aren't able to discover the ScreenBeam check to make sure that the ScreenBeam is powered on and that you can see the Ready to Connect screen.

If another device is connected to the ScreenBeam first disconnect the other device, then re-open the Connect menu on your PC. By default once a device is connected to the ScreenBeam for a wireless display session other devices will not be able to discover or connect to the ScreenBeam.

If you still don't see the ScreenBeam in the Connect menu check to see if your laptop has a dual-band wireless card. Dual-band wireless cards have the ability to operate in either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band, by default the ScreenBeam operates in the 5GHz band for wireless display. To check the wireless card on your PC, open the start menu and type Device Manager. In the Device Manager, expand the Network adapters section, and locate your device's wireless adapter. You can search online to find out if your wireless adapter is dual-band or if the phrase "dual-band" may be part of the adapter name. If your adapter is not dual-band, it may still be possible to get connected.
